   /Details

Hired as Chief Marketing Officer and later as a consultant, Red Pencil had a blast collaborating with this trailblazing brand on its marketing, social media, and digital elements. On the one hand, our mission was to sell tickets. On the other, it was to launch Spiegelworld’s brilliant creativity into as many channels as possible. We did both, and more. As one example, during COVID, we expanded Spiegelworld’s F&B enterprise with the creation of Superfrico, an Italian American Psychedelic restaurant at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Step Into Our World

Spiegelworld is the planet’s premier purveyor of entertainment and hospitality for savvy, seen-it-all pleasure seekers. Born in a century-old spiegeltent in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge in 2006, the company moved to Las Vegas in 2011 with the Caesars Palace debut of ABSINTHE, hailed as “the #1 greatest show in Las Vegas history” by Las Vegas Weekly. Since then, Spiegelworld has grown into a community of over 800 organizers, agitators, dreamers, doers, insiders, outsiders, and iconoclasts of every flavor. Its ever-expanding universe now includes shows in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, hit restaurant concepts like Superfrico, No Pants, and Diner Ross, and even stewardship of the quirky desert circus town of Nipton, California.

Your friendly finer diner, tucked away inside DISCOSHOW at 3535 Las Vegas Blvd, right in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. Diner Ross serves all the greatest hits – burgers, steaks, Disco Fries – plus the Dirty Martini Salad, Shrimp on the Rocks, Surf & Turf Tartare, Brick House Chicken, and much more, all perfectly paired with primo cocktails like Wallbangers, Mind Erasers, and Cherry Palomas.

Facilitation & Training

Red Pencil facilitated brand development sessions with the Diner Ross restaurant and creative teams, clarifying its market position and refining its brand language.

Key Copy

The facilitated sessions and training resulted in a cohesive key copybook and a staff training program designed to bring the vision to life ahead of its opening.

Spiegelworld Atomic Saloon Show logo with bright yellow and red lettering

Atomic Saloon is more than a show set in a bar. It’s a show set in a real-life bar. Four of them, actually. Or is it five? That’s the thing about Atomic. With so many bars and such talented staff, serving everything from hot dogs and nut sacks to an inspired selection of beer, bubbles, and other adult bevvies, things can get a bit… hazy.

Digital Advertising

During Red Pencil’s tenure as Chief Marketing Officer, we advised Spiegelworld’s creative and media agencies to develop new ad campaigns, refine audience targeting, and enhance their .com and ticketing websites. These efforts led to healthy growth in ticket sales across all owned, digital channels.

Created by Spiegelworld, Superfrico® is the ultimate be-all, end-all, taste-all house party where the world’s boldest creatives let loose—in the kitchen, behind the bars, on the walls, under the table—and everyone’s invited. This Italian American Psychedelic “restaurant” was a wildly imaginative escape, breaking the world out of its COVID fog.

Website Development

Red Pencil collaborated with Spiegelworld’s creative team and hired agencies to craft a one-of-a-kind website, making it feel like the party had already started, with stories unfolding in real-time.

Talkable Press Invitations

We hosted a brainstorming session with Spiegelworld’s incredible team, resulting in wild, imaginative ideas. Our favorite? Hand-painted portraits, styled as if they were captured during a previous party, sent to journalists as the opening night invitations. These portraits, created by Spiegelworld’s own talented “family,” were the perfect way to showcase the brand’s artistry.

Photoshoot

Spiegelworld’s team is known for working with extraordinary photographers and artists. For our part, it was a joy to reinvent the usual, like headshots, in fresh and creative ways, partnering with local artists to bring a unique flair.

No visit to Las Vegas was complete until you tripped from the Strip to the stars aboard the Starship OPM73. The most hypercolor, adults-only entertainment in the galaxy, OPM was a supersaturated experiment in hilarity, delivered at warp speed and with extra sauce.

Box Office Training

As part of our marketing efforts, we defined how to describe this distinctive show, then created a training experience for Box Office staff. It was so much fun and of course included Starbursts! The presentation was designed in house by Speigelworld’s wildly creative team!

Spiegelworld is uniquely Spiegelworld—its team is made up of comedians, clowns, stage designers, artists, strategists, and writers. So with this team, we collaborate to produce almost everything in house.

Website Development

When first hired at Speigelworld, our number one goal was to sell more tickets. So we applied years of graduate study of usability design to a valuable use case and sequentially asked all partners from .com to deep into three ticketing systems to apply a set of recommendations that paid off in conversions and revenue.

While each show page was highly functional with things like persistent Get Tickets or Buy Now buttons across mobile and desktop, we optimized the homepage for creativity. It was decorated with curiosities upon scroll, making it fun to interact with Spiegelworld’s vast collection of artifacts.
